I hope you are managing to remain positive and productive in these uncertain and unprecedented times. I wanted to bring you up to speed with how the COVID-19 emergency will impact the Environmental Choice New Zealand (ECNZ) licensing programme and how it may affect your business.
Summary
-
On-site audits have been postponed until May 2020. (This timing is subject to change depending on COVID-19 developments.)
-
The Environmental Choice New Zealand team will continue to follow instructions from the Government to ensure best-practice is maintained. We will communicate any changes and updates to you promptly.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries regarding your licence. Francesca@enviro-choice.co.nz
In light of the changes we are facing due to COVID-19, our business is determined to prioritise the safety of our people and communities.
As we adjust with you all to a new normal, we are taking proactive steps to provide the best service for our licensees and are prepared to give continuous support through all stages of this pandemic and beyond.
The Environmental Choice New Zealand team is following all Government guidelines and Keeli and I are now working from home. Our verifiers won’t be performing on-site audits until at least May 2020 to protect our people and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Where possible we will work with our licensees to complete annual assessments remotely to ensure continuity of license services. Needless to say, we will be offering licensees more flexibility on annual supervision verifications during this time of uncertainty.
Being there for our licensees every step of the way is important to us.
If any of these changes impact your current licence or you have further queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
As New Zealand’s official ecolabel, we are proud to stand with those who provide essential, valuable and environmentally preferable services and products to our country.
Despite this uncertainty and change, we encourage all our licensees and networks to continue their efforts to act sustainably in support of our environment and people.
All the very best through these trying times to you, your employees and families. Stay safe.
